After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design from Colorado State University, I worked as an apparel designer for 10 years, eight of them in New York City. By the age of 29 I was the head designer for one of Federated Department Store’s private label brands. I had the magnificent opportunity to travel the world and soak in all that New York City had to offer. After falling completely in love with architecture during that time, I decided to pursue a degree in interior design at the prestigious New York School of Interior Design – the alma mater of many of the industry’s leading talents.

I graduated with distinction in May 2007 after years of intensive study in drafting, CAD, color, business, architectural history, building codes, mechanical systems and more. While in New York, I had the opportunity to work for two of Westchester New York’s most adored interior designers. In the fall of 2007 I became an Allied member of ASID and fulfilled a lifelong dream by returning to Colorado and opening my own interior design firm.

Gretchen Farrell Interiors LLC was founded on a belief system of creative personal design that is affordable to all. I believe that good design will change your life. If you are considering hiring a designer, I would love an opportunity to speak with you about transforming your home.
